One Day I Thought…

About the Author

Hi! My name is Shelita and I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. He has redeemed me from deep, isolating depression, suicidal thoughts and attempts, worry and severe anxiety. The Lord and I are working on some trust and control issues as I continue my journey of recovery.

I am also a wife, mother, educator, and entrepreneur with a passion for inspiring others through faith and reflection. Married to my husband, Larry, for over 22 years, I am encouraged by him and my two children, Jayden and Shaylen, daily. I also enjoy the companionship of my friends, my sisterhood and CR family at CF as well as my sweet dogs.

I am humbled to have opportunities to give back to the community where I grew up in a meaningful way and to my church giving me a chance to express in a very small way my gratitude for what my Savior has done and is doing in me. My prayer is that my testimony is used for God’s glory, He gets all my praise!
